Reviews
Excellent food, and friendly service! We went here for a family birthday celebration, and will definitely be back! All the food is wonderful, and you absolutely have to try the kimchi. The sauces are excellent, a wonderful selection of good quality meats and seafood, and just tons of options.
They really went out of their way to make sure we felt taken care of, and helped us celebrate.
Very good food and great for vegans and vegetarians. They were very nice and friendly. When you get there you fill up your bowl with noodles veggies and meats or tofu if you are vegetarian/vegan. They have a very good house red wine and beers as well. I also had a chamomile herbal tea with dinner. It was very convenient after shopping at Costco to go here for dinner. Wish I could give more than 5 stars 🤩
Love the gal who owns the shop, she’s so friendly and always takes such good care of us. My husband and I have been going here for almost 7 years now. It was one of our first dates! We love them!!
Just go to the Mill Creek location where it's all you can eat. It's a shame to have to pay just as much for half the food at this location but that's how it is. The person working the grill and the host are extremely helpful and I'm sure but being paid enough. I felt they were the only two who genuinely wanted me to have an enjoyable experience. Now i just go to Mill Creek for same price but all i can eat.
We walked in expecting all-you-can-eat and learned that they now charge by the pound "for the time being" with a 1 lb minimum. Which, fine, but we paid $61 for 3 plates. One was under 1 lb and the other 2 barely over. The flavor is as good as you make it, but the ingredients aren't very fresh. I had to pick through slimy bits in the cilantro and mung bean sprouts. The complimentary ice cream has melted and been re-frozen (likely due to their freezer door "fix" of sticking a chunk of Styrofoam over the broken door) and so has a weird texture.
We dined in and drank our water out of disposable plastic cups, poured from a bottle that still had a partial Ikea label stuck on it...making it seem like it hasn't been washed. The whole place just feels really rundown and not super clean. The music was really loud. A person that appeared to be an owner was listening to something loudly on their phone at the same time, which made for an odd, almost painful auditory experience when the host had to practically yell to communicate with customers.
The chef was great. The host was...doing their best.
Overall, it really feels like they're just barely alive and trying to keep the doors open one day at at time. So, no money goes into fresh products or building maintenance.
The service is great. Greeted as we walked through the door.
Vegetables were fresh, with a dozen or so options. the restaurant was clean and tidy.
If you schoose to stay and eat in the restaurant. Dinner includes a dish of ice cream.
Plenty of Parking. Located just east of the Smokey Point Target. 5 minutes from I-5.
The people working inside were friendly. Unfortunately the food is very sketchy. All the stuff is defrosted which is surprising to me cause every other Mongolian bbq place I’ve been to it’s been frozen to ensure maximum freshness. The biggest disappointment other than the lacking food quality is that they charge you by weight. This is the only Mongolian bbq place I’ve been where they charge by weight. I got a small portion and it was 18 dollars (and this was the lunch price too!) I will not be coming back.
I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years, and the food is always amazing, and the owner is the sweetest lady on the planet! Highly recommend hot iron!
